Jonathan Newman - 92+/100
"This limited production, single-vineyard Pinot Noir comes from America’s best Pinot country. Schneider Vineyard grapes were dry-farmed for greater intensity. Only 400 cases were made. Complex and delicious, this wine opens up with savory, smokey notes that yield to a generous mid-palate of raspberry and cherry cola. More fruit and great structure make the finish delightful."
"It's a delightful wine with plenty of fruit that is very expressive of the terroir of Russian River Valley, which is one of the best regions for Pinot Noir in America. It has a beautiful nose of red currants, a touch of pomegranate, and some forest floor notes. Gorgeous fruit, medium to full body, silky tannins, and a plush texture all make for a sensual Pinot Noir experience. Drink it over the next several years."

Thumbprint Cellars owner/winemaker Scott Lindstrom-Dake and his wife Erica are
involved in every aspect of their small winery in Sonoma County, California.
They chose the name "Thumbprint Cellars" because they only make
limited production wines in lots that aren't big enough to leave a
"footprint." In fact, only 400 cases were made of this wine. Scott
and Erica sell most of their wines in California, so this is a rare chance to
try a wine that usually is found only in their tasting room in Healdsburg. It's
a delightful wine with plenty of fruit that is very expressive of the terroir
of Russian River Valley, which is one of the best regions for Pinot Noir in
America. It has a beautiful nose of red currants, a
touch of pomegranate, and some forest floor notes. Gorgeous fruit,
medium to full body, silky tannins, and a plush texture all make for a
sensual Pinot Noir experience. Drink it over the
next several years. This food-friendly wine is excellent with poultry and meat dishes and
would be the perfect wine for the holidays.
